YC values strong teams above all else. Here's a fun fact: we changed our idea DURING the interview process! So, your idea isn't the be-all and end-all. What matters most is picking co-founders with whom you share a rock-solid relationship. And if you're bringing a software idea to the table, having technical co-founders is a big plus.

In your application, clarity is your best friend. Explain what your idea is, introduce your dream team, and spill the beans on your company's current state. Vagueness? That's a one-way ticket to being overlooked.

Mark your calendars, folks! The deadline for the Winter 24 batch is October 13th. Most of our buddies in the W23 batch applied by the deadline, and it's a smart move. But hey, life happens, and if you miss it, don't sweat it! YC doesn't have a hard deadline, and you can still submit after the deadline passes. We know some who got in just days before the batch started. Talk about last-minute magic!
🚀 It's Not the End:
Even if you don't make it in this time, your startup journey doesn't have to hit a dead-end. YC loves repeat applicants, especially if they can show growth and traction between applications.

Seeking out referrals from YC alumni can be golden! Recommendations from those who've been through Y Combinator can significantly improve a prospective's chances. Their insights and guidance can, more importantly, be incredibly valuable on your journey to success.
